Back to school is a "budget buster"

Wednesday evening I decided to treat myself to a program at the local library even though there were a hundred forms waiting for my signature at home.  I scooted out of the program in time to arrive at a local stationary store 15 minutes before closing with my oldest's list of necessary supplies.  It was a bit of a fun game to hunt for and find all the items while the PA system announced every five minutes how many shopping minutes left until closing time!!! Sort of a combination of Supermarket Sweep and Beat the Clock!!!  So I really didn't have time to tally how much all these items were costing as I happily checked them off my list... The sticker shock at the register was amazing $50+ , I had already put most basics in the house all purchased on sale in August such as composition books, pens and filler paper, this was just the "special" requirements of certain subjects and this doesn't include the Texas Instruments Graphing calculator also required (but also available for loan).  This is for just one child!!!
