Hello,
I'm Liz mom to three boys ages 19, 15 and 12.
We will begin Homeschooling my 12yo this Sept. I'm feeling a bit
overwhelmed and confused at this time. Not knowing where/how to begin.
So I'm trying to get us "out there" and build a support system and
hopefully meet and make friends along the way.
I'm hoping to find or start a group for children on the older end of
the age group that seems to be here. Ages 12 and up would be great.
We live in the Town of Poughkeepsie.
A bit about my guy:
He loves technology, a self professed "computer/gaming geek" , lol!! He
also likes to swim, ride his bike, inline skating and animals
especially lizards, any kind of amphibian really. Bugs are a favorite
too. He's taking a course in Video Game Creation at camp this summer
and is very excited about it.
About me:
I love to read. When I have time (which is not very often) I've been
known to quilt and crossstitch. I volunteer at a few different agencies
and well as a parent/educational advocate for children/parent
negotiating the public special education system. I also occasionally
work as per diem LPN.
